Raising Money For Japan!

This weekend Toyota Scion and City Hall hosted “Mountain Of Arms: Japan Relief,” a benefit concert to help raise money for Japan.

Mountain of Arms is a non-profit organization that was created to help raise money and awareness of the recent disasters in Japan. The show was sponsored and promoted by Toyota Scion and Denver’s City Hall organization. The show was heavily promoted through City Hall’s promotion team, who had flyers, radio spots and online features everywhere accessible. Posters were posted all around the Auroria campus and tickets were available online through facebook (which heavily promoted the event with events, groups and fan pages for the bands) and the venue website.
The show featured 22 live bands, along with several art gallery showings at Denver’s newest music venue, City Hall. Included in the set was local bands Air Dubai and Caramel Carmela. The show began at 4:00 PM sharp and lasted way past midnight. Each band performed a 30 minute set, and all bands contributed fans that were willing to buy a $20 ticket as well as provide donations for the effort.
