Advertisement Encouragment

What do public relation representatives focus on to get the attention of students on a college campus? What types of companies advertise on campus and what do their ads do that make us want to utilize their product?

Walking through a hallway at school, what things on the wall are going to stick out at you? Bright colors, expressive words, and images are the three main aspects advertisements share in common.

A black and white sign is more likely to be disregarded, rather than a loud red and black sign that pops off the wall. If it's not noticeable, it will not be noticed.

Using plain language is also not an attention grabber. Advertisements usually use expressive verbs to get you to read the posting. Once they have your attention, all the details can be in lament terms. Using the title and sub-title format is one of the most commonly used flyer ad. Get the reader's attention with a bold statement and then in smaller print explain what the advertisement is encouraging.

Images and pictures are the last, but most important, attention grabbing aspects of advertising. Words can only leave so much room for interpretation, but imagery can evoke different reactions in people. Using an original or bold photo on an ad will be more likely to get people to stop and read it.

Bold, expressive, and images are the best ways to describe and advertisment that is going to be effective. In the ad industry, go big or go home.
