Homecoming still a mystery to you? Read More...

Metropolitan State is having a homecoming, and it is news to a number of students on campus. As the Three Amigos News Team roams the campus interviewing students, the common refrain is they are not aware or know very little about this event.

The first two students we crossed paths with were Matt Sherack and Kevin Winkler. We talked to them about Homecoming week and its events. Both acknowledged not knowing about the homecoming events, and further stated a lack on communication between students and Metro. They don’t plan on attending any events after being told that it was happening.

Sean Kelly was busy setting up a slack-line. A slack-line is a training tool for climbers. We approached him and asked if he knew about Homecoming Week. He responded that he did see something on MetroConnect, but it didn’t register with him. Sean stated “most of the activities didn’t interest me, and I wish there was a climbing competition or snowball fight”.

As you walk around campus, there no noticeable signs or banners saying that it is Homecoming Week at Metro.
